University of Science and Culture Participates in the Damavand Symposium Hosted by the Austrian Embassy

On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the ascent of Mount Damavand by an Austrian mountaineer and the 160th anniversary of friendship between Iran and Austria, the Damavand Symposium was organized by the Austrian Embassy with the participation of a number of international mountaineers and guests.

On the sidelines of the symposium, several organizations and institutions, including the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, National Geographic Society, the University of Science and Culture, and the Iranian Mountaineering Association, introduced their activities and achievements.

It is worth noting that, as part of the symposium’s continuation program, three workshops in English will be held tomorrow (Saturday, July 21). Representing the University of Science and Culture, Afsaneh Pourjam will conduct a workshop titled “Iran’s Ecotourism Capacities.”
